Launch of Turnkey Portable Alpha Solutions

Strategic has launched two offshore portable alpha solutions, one suited for U.S. tax-exempt non-ERISA investors, and a second for ERISA investors. "We believe these integrated solutions bring next-generation strategies to the broad universe of institutional investors," comments Deb Boedicker, Principal. "As compelling as portable alpha is to potentially improving the efficiency of portfolios, unless you have the staff and a willingness to assume the implementation complexities, these types of strategies are not accessible. That has now changed." Both solutions offer a variety of betas, including U.S. large cap, U.S. small cap, non-U.S. equity, core and long duration fixed income, and inflation-linked. Strategic’s approach combines a mature diversified alpha pool of hedge funds established in the early 1990s with low-cost derivatives.
Portable Alpha Composites Pass Five-Year Mark

Deb Boedicker, Principal, is pleased to announce that Strategic Investment Group (Strategic) has now surpassed the five-year mark for both its U.S. equity and U.S. fixed income portable alpha composites. She notes that the firm is preparing to launch offshore and ERISA-friendly turnkey portable alpha solutions for a variety of betas, including U.S. and non-U.S. equity, core and long duration fixed income, and inflation-linked. Strategic’s approach is based on a diversified alpha pool of hedge funds, combined with low-cost derivatives.
